Our Philosophy

  • Focus on Disruptive technology
  • Very low capex, low variable cost of production and patentable
  • Work in areas with few players and International market
  • Broad base the technologies to give larger footprints

Fungal Biotechnology

Rediscover the goodness of mother Earth with natural melanin…

  • Melanin is a wonder molecule with numerous applications…. but its usage is limited due to its high price, hence decreasing its demand.
  • Avisa Biotech aims at removing this barrier in melanin usage by producing melanin at an affordable price with our patented melanin production technology.
  • We assures quality and affordability and aims at the general well-being of human kind

Melanin

  • Natural black dye for textiles .
  • Many other use cases

Algal Biotechnology

DHA
  • DHA is an Omega 3 fatty acid which constitutes the primary structural component of skin, cerebral cortex, brain and retina.
  • It is a well-recognized dietary supplement worldwide
  • It can be synthesized from α- linolenic acid
  • It is directly obtained from maternal milk, fish oil or algal sources.
  • As the body doesn’t produce sufficient amount of DHA, it should be supplemented through diet.
INNOVATIONS AND UNIQUENESS
  • Novel process for production of DHA omega 3 phospholipid molecule
  • All algal DHA producers have Triglyceride or Ester form currently
  • IWe are the only producer of water soluble Phospholipid form (Water Soluble )
  • Bioavailability of phospholipids is more by 40 %
  • Numerous benefits only in Phospholipid form.
  • More effective and efficient form of DHA
Applications of DHA
  • Milk and Infant Formula
  • Cooking Oil
  • Animal Feed and supplements

Use of DHA in different foods and Supplements

Products Under Development Section

ARA
  • ARA (C20H32O2) is an essential omega-6 fatty acid 20:4(ω-6)
  • ARA plays vital role in immunity, blood clotting, brain development in infants
  • ARA is not manufactured in the body and need to be taken as dietary supplements.
  • Sources: poultry, animal organs, meat, fish, seafood, eggs, nuts, fatty seeds, derived vegetable oils.
  • Deficiencies: abnormalities in the skin, nervous system, immune and inflammatory systems, cardiovascular system, endocrine system, kidneys, respiratory and reproductive systems
Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) Omega -3
  • EPA ( Omega 3 ) along with DHA can lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases
  • Natural Fish oil source generally have a EPA to DHA ratio of 3:2 (180 mg EPA plus 120 mg DHA)
  • Rising veganism and vegetarianism and protection against cardiovascular has increased the demand for vegan non fish oil based EPA
  • Our priority is to produce from a specific microorganism which naturally produce DHA to EPA ratio in 2: 1 ratio and separate out the EPA using downstream processing .
Exopolysaccharides in Cosmetics
  • Polysaccharides have strong moisture retention properties and hydrate the epidermis, increasing its thickness and rendering it more supple .
  • Alginate, carriganin, Chitosan, Agar are some examples of marine Polysaccharides
Vegan Vitamin D3
  • Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is taken as a supplement.
  • Vitamin D keeps our bones healthy by helping to control the amount of calcium and phosphate in our bodies.
  • India is one of the largest consumer of Vitamin D3 but unfortunately we do not produce any Sheep wool cholesterol ,the raw material for Vitamin D3
  • Vitamin D3 produced by wool cholesterol is not considered vegan or vegetarian .
C-Phycocyanin and Phycoerythrin
  • Very high productivity of the strain which is 5 to 10 times more yield phycocyanin than Spirulina . Extremely low cost of production .
  • Phycoerythrin is an accessory pigment to the main chlorophyll pigments responsible for photosynthesis. It is natural red pigment that can be used in foods and Cosmetics. Can be used to design and characterize light-sensing elements in biosensors.
  • Currently used for strong fluorescent biological marker- used for immuno-fluorescence assays, Western Blot.
FOS

FOS are used primarily as a low-calorie, alternative sweetener.FOS can be used as an alternative instead of those containing sugar, which spike glucose levels in the blood, and cause weight gain.

Pullululan

Pullulan is a microbial exopolysaccharide produced by polymorphic fungus Aureobasidium pullulans. It has wide application in food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries

MOS
Erythritol

Erythritol is an organic compound, a sugar alcohol, used as a food additive and sugar substitute. It is naturally occurring. It can be made from corn using enzymes and fermentation. Its formula is C ₄H ₁₀O ₄, or HO(CHOH)₂OH; specifically, one particular stereoisomer with that formula. Since erythritol doesn't affect your blood sugar, you're less likely to get the health conditions most often caused by too much sugar, like diabetes or high blood pressure.
